I resonate with Merida because points in my life I felt like the typical misunderstood teenager and like my mom just “didn’t get it,” even though she definitely did □ After coming out to my mom & being overwhlemed with support & love, we were closer than ever. Bear paws continue the theme but also represents me & my mom. It’s significant for the literal word in that I personally feel Merida was brave & courageous by standing up for herself and then doing what she had to do to fix her mistakes. The word ‘brave’ is from the movie Brave, obviously but has double meaning. ![]()
